The shift toward AI agents navigating websites on behalf of consumers is just beginning, but the trajectory is clear. There is no need to rush into an exhaustive overhaul. If you are taking initial steps, start by identifying a single operation on your website that you want AI agents to execute. Whether it is a booking, a quote request, or an inventory check, select the flow closest to revenue or business inquiries. Prepare that interface so machines can parse it, with adequate defenses against misuse. Focusing on this single touchpoint is the most realistic first step to embrace this shift without wasting investment.
